Client brief
Over time the original grooved composite decking had moved considerably making the client question its safety; especially being right next to a canal. It had also discoloured and taken on a lot of stains which didn’t really complement for the stunning backdrop of the Grand Union Canal.
On Karl’s initial site survey, he brought samples of several suitable composite decking products for the client to consider. Garden lights controlled with your phone
The client requested lights in the new decking. As they already had a Lutron smart home lighting system installed, Karl ensured the new lights were compatible; thus enabling the client to control the deck lights with their phone. It took 2 weeks to remove and replace the 52m2 of decking. In this time the team also restored some existing paving by grinding out the mortar, using a proprietary cleaning agent to bring it back to its original colour, they then finished this by repointing with flowpoint.
