Garden Landscaping Aston Clinton
Landscaping Project – Alpine Hideaway
Location – Aston Clinton, Buckinghamshire
Hidden away in a private courtyard garden setting, an abundance of alpine planting, natural stone walls and relaxing entertaining spaces… private party heaven.
In excess of 20 tonnes of landscaping materials were designed, managed and after negotiating through a tight access were expertly constructed.
Brief:
An existing courtyard garden that looked tired and unloved demanded a sympathetic approach to the existing planting and natural stone terrace.
To continue the abundance of alpine trees and succulent planting; this was something that had to be continued. The entertaining terrace needed a cage of materials; It was essential that these new met the time-worn…
Design:
In an open area that really did need an old, perhaps reclaimed looking terrace. Furthermore, the natural surrounding complimented with the colour and tactile nature of this time-worn composite decking; although we prefer natural materials it was a perfect match.
The TIER® split walling stone was supplied by CED and with many cuts, it was fitted beautifully and we didn’t think there were any similar materials that looked as natural. A floating bench arrangement also created a relaxing statement amongst the complex planting,
We were able to add to the existing professional lighting arrangement to enhance the ambience in the evening.
The most exciting plant, is the new Pinus Mugo tree imported from Germany. Bare stemmed and look stunning when illuminated in the evening.
