Client Brief
Over time the hot tub became faulty so the client decided to get it removed. After not using the space for years the client got back in touch with Karl to get it transformed once again. The summer house was still in perfect shape and staying so they needed to consider a transition to get to it. As for the rest of the space, Karl decided let’s plant everywhere, let’s soften the space and make it a peaceful getaway that looks good, smells good, and feels good.Planting Plan
The client really wanted as many white flowering plants as possible in this space. Here’s a selection of the white flowers Karl chose to use in the planting scheme –- Viburnum davidii
- Amelanchier lamarckii
- Hydrangea
- Pachysandra terminalis
- Rhododendron
- Philadelphus
- Agapanthus
- Syringa
- Hosta ‘Drinking Gourd’
- Acanthus
- Cornus kousa Chinensis
- Lamium ma. ‘White Nancy’
Natural Limestone Paving Patio
For the pathway to the cedar summer house, Karl decided to use natural limestone paving from Country Supplies. Whilst this is part of the hard landscaping this really helps soften the space. It’s not only a path to get you to the summer house; it also serves as the perfect space for a bench to enjoy the oasis this garden will become in the Spring.Credits and Further information
